塑料高性能化加工与装备课题组由李忠明教授于2003年组建，经过23年的发展，目前课题组有固定成员18人，包括教授/研究员5人，副教授/副研究员7人，助理研究员4人，科研助理2人。其中课题组组长李忠明教授是教育部“长江学者”特聘教授、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、国家“万人计划”科技创新领军人才、享政府特殊津贴专家。课题组现有在读博士研究生38名，在读硕士研究生31名。已培养博士毕业生58名，硕士毕业生118名。

课题组秉承“功不唐捐，玉汝于成”的组训和“学习、学术、上进、互助、责任”的组风，长期致力于高分子加工基础科学问题、高分子加工中特殊形态结构的生成与调控及高性能与功能化研究。已形成三个特色研究方向，包括:(1)高性能化加工理论与技术;(2)生物医用材料与器械;(3)高通量表征与人工智能。

"Processing and Equipment for Advanced Plastics Group" was founded by Prof. Zhong-Ming Li in2003. After 23 years of development, this research group now has 18 permanent members, including 5 professors/research fellows, 7 associate professors/associate research fellows, 4 assistant researchfellows, and 2 analysis and testing engineers. This group currently has 38 PhD students and 31 master'sstudents, and has so far cultivated 58 PhD students and 118 master's students.

Inherited by the group monition of "Efforts would pay off, and grinding like polishing a rough jadecan lead to success" and group ethos of "Research, Academy, Self-motivation, Mutual assistance,and responsibbility", this research group has long been devoted to the basicscientific problems of polymer processing, the formation and regulation of specialmorphological structures in polymer processing, and the research of highperformance and functionalization of polymer materials. Three characteristic researchdirections have been formed, including (1) High performance processing theory andtechnology; (2) Biomedical materials and devices; (3) High throughput characterizationand artificial intelligence.
